Minotti IMMCologne 2020: A New Take on the Architectural Language

Published by MOIE, March 9, 2020

Minotti renews its attendance at IMM Cologne, the first international exhibition of the year taking place from 13th to 19th January 2020, with a striking interpretation of the 2019 Collection.

The brand’s large exhibition space spans 600 sqm and hosts the most distinctive pieces of the new collection in a fluid, harmonious setting, in tune with its mood: a concept that expresses the design identity of Minotti and offers a new take on the stylistic and architectural language that characterised Salone del Mobile.Milano 2019.

A series of sophisticated, dynamic settings, where sinuous walls in wood and white plaster alternate, characterised by the presence of geometries and embossed details, enhance the designs and different styles of the designers and architects who have contributed to the collection: Rodolfo Dordoni, Christophe Delcourt, Nendo, GamFratesi and Marcio Kogan / studio mk27.

The setting showcases six living solutions featuring the Daniels – present in the three main design configurations – West and Lawson seating systems together with a dining area animated by the Wedge table, all accompanied by the Angie, Shelley and Lawson Lounge seats, as well as by a carefully selected range of complements and accessories. In a dedicated corner, Minotti’s Hospitality vision is expressed by showing the video dedicated to the 2019 “Waves Resort” project and presenting a sophisticated lounge area featuring a Lawson sofa and armchairs.

In harmony with the spirit of the indoor solutions, two islands dedicated to open-air spaces emphasise the interaction between the Tape Cord Outdoor seats by Nendo and the Quadrado modular system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 in the new 87×87 cm module version, which joins the original 102×102 cm size, to meet the requirements of smaller spaces without giving up the winning modular aspect of the system.

This year’s new products also include the Shelley armchair by GamFratesi reinterpreted in the “Dining” version and the new fixed stools of the Tape Cord Outdoor product family designed by Nendo, in two heights.

The next trade show appointment with the launch of the new pieces is scheduled for April at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2020.
