What is your design philosophy?

SHS & Associates philosophy lies within the name of SHS itself: Sadha Harsa Sradha; it carries the meaning of Flair Happiness and Faith, by means to be faithful in pursuing happiness for everyone, through our flair in design and service. SHS & Associates maintain the philosophy through our work ethics. We build trust as the foundation of our communication with clients, we build friendship that balances the chemistry between us, and we keep our responsibility throughout and up to completion of every project.

According to you, when designing a room what are the most important factors to consider?

We believe that space planning is the foundation of interior design. Hence, we always start with a solid good layout and the rest will follow.

Could you walk us through your design process? Where do you begin?

As we put our first attention into space planning, thus, we start with layout. After all client’s necessities are fulfilled, we use their inspiration and our aspiration to create new design. Upon client’s approval on the design, we continue to produce our working drawing document and at last guarding the design closely to completion during the construction phase.

What qualities do you look for when choosing furniture and accessories?

Functionality is a non-negotiable value. We should come to the art of understanding the beauty in every design. We should match the soul of the interior with its furniture and accessories.

When budget is limited, what are the priorities to make a house feels like home?

A proverb said “All roads lead to Rome”. We believe that we can always come up with new solutions to reach our vision, a house does not have to be expensive to be homey. We put our attention to the fundamental things, we tweak the materials and finishes, and we look for alternatives. We believe that what makes a house feels like home is not the expensive furniture or high-end interior finishes. We believe that the feel of comfort and fulfilled necessities will make your house feels like home. Thus, we work closely with our clients throughout the project as it is a collaboration; we help them create a place where they can call it home.

What has been your career highlight to date, and what do you still dream to achieve?

Establishing SHS & Associates after my meaningful career in Hadiprana is one of my biggest gratitudes, and we will be 5 on 10th of September 2019. The journey itself is the highlight of my career, but we will not stop here. We want to grow better, which does not necessarily bigger, but we will expand our expertise to be able to create more meaningful projects and satisfy our clients. The establishment of this company and all our works hopefully can help a lot of people, and become meaningful not only to our clients, suppliers, and our employees but also to the society at large.
