FENDI Casa inaugurates its first flagship store in Jakarta, the vibrant and captivating capital of Indonesia. The new store, opened in partnership with MOIE, one of the most renowned retailers in the region for international exclusive furniture and lifestyle products, is located inside the Pacific Place Mall, a luxurious shopping and entertainment destination nestled in Jakarta’s Sudirman Central Business District. This area of the metropolis, known as The Golden Triangle, hosts most of the city’s embassies, tallest skyscrapers, high-end hotels, residences, restaurants, and bars.
The FENDI Casa Jakarta boutique marks the beginning of a series of new store launches scheduled from May to July 2024 across Asia, with additional flagship locations set to debut in Cambodia, Singapore, and Seoul. Strengthening its international presence is part of the strategy FENDI Casa has been implementing since 2021 through Fashion Furniture Design (FF Design), the joint venture between Design Holding and FENDI.
“The new stores are the culmination of a clear strategic vision and a concerted initiative to consolidate our distribution in Asia, which has always been a pivotal market for the FENDI universe,” says Alberto Da Passano, CEO of FENDI Casa. “Our aim is to provide world-class products to both our local and international clientele. In doing so, we also strive to share our core values and the essence of our brand. This is achieved through distinctively designed spaces that embody the expressive language unique to FENDI Casa, which has garnered global admiration and respect.”
On a single floor covering an area of 266 square meters, situated on the first level of the Pacific Place Mall, the boutique was designed by the FENDI Casa design team under the supervision of the FENDI headquarters architects’ team. The façade, featuring large glass windows and elegant champagne metal bearing a black logo, creates a transparent effect that lets light flood the space, accentuating the store’s position within the mall. The overarching theme of the design is Arabescato Vagli marble, which adorns both the external façade and the entrance floor – a quintessential style element of FENDI Casa boutiques worldwide.
Inside the main door, guests are welcomed by an FF logo wall bearing the Maison’s logo, ushering them into the FENDI Casa world. Here, every detail of the interior design reflects the brand’s eclectic, distinctive character, in a sophisticated mix of forms, colors, and premium materials. On one side, a gray and champagne metal display showcases a selection of accessories, while new items and best sellers make a style statement near the entrance. The furnishings, designed by the most prominent names in international design, under the creative direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi, are enhanced by the boutique’s bright, welcoming, immersive setting. Curtains contribute to creating a cozier, more private and exclusive atmosphere.
The store is divided into four areas, each corresponding to a product display section. The first living area sets the tone, emphasizing elegance and comfort. The Fun FENDI sofa, designed by atelier oï, charms with its playful Peekaboo effect, embodying FENDI’s iconic spirit of fun. Accompanied by matching Fun FENDI armchairs, the grouping exemplifies FENDI’s innovative design language.
The living space transitions into the dining area, cleverly divided by the Matrice bookcase designed by Dimorestudio. Here, the Ford dining table, surrounded by Totu chairs crafted with a minimalist design and elegant proportions, by Toan Nguyen, offers a glimpse into FENDI’s refined aesthetic. The area also features the Groove and the Groovy armchairs, each piece echoing the brand’s commitment to luxury and design excellence.
A second living area spotlights the Five sofa by Marcel Wanders, known for its stylish modular design, paired with the Welcome armchair by Chiara Andreatti, which exudes warmth and artisanal mastery in its rounded, inviting form. The Tarsia coffee table is another focal point, showcasing FENDI’s attention to detail and discerning use of materials.
Next, in another dining setting, the Kiru dining table meets the Virgola dining chairs, all resonating FENDI Casa’s signature elegance. The Selbit cabinet and the Roma daybed add layers of luxury, displaying impeccable, innovative design.
The journey continues into a third living area, highlighted by the Sandia sofa by Toan Nguyen, featuring organic, curved lines that create a comfortable, sophisticated atmosphere. The refined design of the Efo coffee table complements the space.
Concluding the experience is the sleeping area, a sanctuary of comfort and style. Here, the Clouds bed invites relaxation, alongside the Soho sofa and Anabelle armchairs, reinterpreting luxury in FENDI Casa’s unique language. The Maglia sideboard is a final touch of elegance, encapsulating the essence of FENDI Casa’s unparalleled design ethos.
FENDI Casa has created a captivating ambiance in the heart of Jakarta, where guests are invited to discover an outstanding furniture collection that merges design, craftsmanship, and architecture.
